XHP semi stainless made in the US by Carpenter steel is easy to sharpen for a steel with a fair degree of wear resistance but does have good edge retention, it is not super tough so it is not suitable for hacking or abusive applications, XHP doesn’t have particularly high corrosion resistance either, expect it to patina or get pepperspots.
